Our Philosophy:
We at Parapro call flying Tandem, Trial Instructional Flights. Flying with the instructor provides the easiest and safest way to experience the thrill of paragliding.
There are 2 options to expeirience this exciting sport, via the free flying option or through powered paragliding. The new exciting option of Powered paragliding or paramotoring as sometimes called, provides the benifits of extended flights, exploring further afield and attaining greater heights. Non powered tandem flights provides the sense of free flight, soaring bird-like in the updrafts.
Unlike learning to fly solo, trial instructional tandem flights require only a short pre-flight briefing before you are flying gracefully in the air for the first time! While we are flying, we will explain how the wing works and how it is controlled by the brake handles. By the end of their unforgetable flight, most passengers will have a basic understanding of how a paraglider operates and flies, while using the updrafts to stay aloft.
Some passengers want a very exciting experience with big wing overs and spiral dives. For the addrenaline seekers, sign up for the "thrill seeker" flight option and you will be given an aerobatic experience you will never forget! For the less adventurous types that want a peaceful gliding experience without the adrenaline rush try the Freedom of flight tandem option.
We can also offer you a variety of sites. They may include Taylor's Mistake, White Wash Heads, Castle Rock. Upper Cass and Allandale.

Requirements/Transport:
To jog 30 feet on a no wind day or slowly walk off on a windy day. Maximum weight is 120 kg for free flying and 85kg for a paramotor tandem flight. Our youngest passenger was 4 years old and our oldest is 90. Wear Warm wind proof clothing in winter and Sturdy footwear. tramping boots or a pair of runners. Flight suit provided. Transport: If you donīt have transport, no problem. We provide a free pickup service from central Christchurch.

Thrill Seeker
For those that want an adrenaline rush. This thrill packed experience is not for the faint hearted. Filled with high-speed spiral dives, wing overs, and other aerial acrobatics, this 20 minute adventure is guaranteed to nearly overdose even the most serious adrenaline junkie! If you suffer from motion sickness, this is not for you but if you want pure excitement this is the one.

Powered Paragliding
A trial intructional powered tandem flight provides an unique experience to motorized paragliding or paramotoring as some times called. This option is an aerial experience that will be hard to forget. With a flight time of around 30min we can explore a variety of sites and heights that's not normally achievable. New Zealand's first to provide this exciting motor tandem option.
